the World Flowers stand at The Superfloral Show 2007

First to Fairtrade in the USA & Show Winners at The Superfloral Show – all in one week!

World Flowers enjoyed a fantastic Superfloral Show in Columbus, Ohio. It was our first time exhibiting at the Show and we were proud to be awarded the Best Booth. What made this even more rewarding was that it was voted for by the Supermarket and Mass Market Retail Buyers in the USA. So a big ‘thank you’ to them. It is a superb recognition of our product quality and innovation within the US market, particularly at our first time of exhibiting.

It was a week for firsts! During that same week World Flowers were also the first supplier in the USA to be licensed Fairtrade with Transfair USA. We are sure that Fairtrade is going to play a huge part in the USA as it has Europe, and as previously in the UK and Kenya, we were the first certified producers / suppliers, showing our continued commitment to responsible trading globally.

World Flowers was established in 1989 and has supplied the UK retail market for many years, importing over 1 billion stems per year. World Flowers is part of the Mavuno Group of Companies with the Oserian Farm at the centre of the operation, supplying customers across the UK and mainland Europe with high quality flowers from Kenya.
